MOTION - NO. M-26-359 - BY: COUNCILMEMBER HARRIS (BY REQUEST)
Brief:
Announcing the Council intention pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 42:19.1, to adopt at its meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 1300 Perdido Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, beginning at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2026, a resolution authorizing the calling of an election for April 17, 2027, at which the voters residing within the District will be asked to vote on a proposition for the Council to continue or renew the levy a special tax of twenty-two and ninety-seven hundredths (22.97) mills (currently expiring in after the 2029 levy) upon all taxable real property situated within the boundaries of the District beginning with the year 2030 and ending with the year 2054, pursuant to the authority granted in La. R.S. 33:2740.3(F), and other constitutional and statutory authority supplemental thereto.
