Brief:
Requesting an Amendment to the text of Article 18 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance to establish the Fairgrounds District overlay, including the area upon which the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots currently sits, generally bounded by Gentilly Boulevard, Belfort Street/Avenue, Trafalgar Street, Desaix Boulevard, St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, St. Vincent Street, Verna Court, and Fortin Street, to maintain current and historical fairground and racetrack opportunities. For all lots within the boundaries, the following uses are to be allowable as conditional uses:
· Fairgrounds; and
· Racetrack
The recommendation of the City Planning Commission being “FOR APPROVAL”.
