FOR RECONSIDERATION BY REASON OF THE MAYOR’S VETO - ORD. NO. 30443 M.C.S. - CAL. NO. 35,203 - BY: COUNCILMEMBERS GIARRUSSO, MORRELL, MORENO, HARRIS, KING, GREEN AND THOMAS
Brief:
An Ordinance to amend and re-ordain Ordinance No. 30,141 M.C.S., entitled “An Ordinance Providing a Capital Budget for the Year 2025”, to effect the following change to the 2025 Capital Budget: to de-appropriate funds from the Chief Administrative Office, the Department of Property Management, the Department of Public Works, and the Office of Resilience and Sustainability; to appropriate funds to the Chief Administrative Office to appropriate unencumbered bond funds to Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (“LSU”) in the amount of $5,000,000 for capital expenditures consistent with LSU Downtown plans; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE ORDINANCE VETOED BY THE MAYOR WAS RETURNED TO THE CLERK OF COUNCIL AND AT THE COUNCIL’S NEXT REGULAR MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2025, THE COUNCIL VOTED 5 YEAS AND 0 NAYS TO OVERRULE THE MAYOR’S VETO.
